2021-2022 Universal Grant Application

The City of Jacksonville’s Neighborhoods Department, Housing and Community Development Division (HCDD), announced that the 2021 – 2022 Universal Application will be available beginning Friday, December 4, 2020 and will be due on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 5:00pm. 
The 2021-22 Universal Application will be available for the following City of Jacksonville Consolidated Plan federal grant programs: Applications for the above mentioned funds are available online at www.coj.net and search words “universal application”. Proposals for non-housing related activities will be accepted from public and private nonprofit 501(c) (3) agencies until Monday, January 11, 2021 at 5:00PM

Projects must meet the CDBG national objectives of: 
  • benefiting low and moderate income persons, or 
  • aiding in the elimination or prevention of slum and blight.

Mandatory Virtual Technical Assistance and Budget Workshops

All non-profit 501(c) (3) agencies applying for funds are required to attend one virtual technical assistance and budget workshop. The technical assistance and budget workshop must be attended by the agency’s financial staff responsible for managing the grant.  At the workshops, Housing and Community Development Division staff will review the grant application process, project eligibility and provide information to assist with application preparation.
